Medication Access FAQs

  • Who is this service for?

Every employer-sponsored health plan member and their qualified dependent(s).

  • Why does this service exist if I pay for health insurance?

The high cost of every Brand name medication is shared by every employee.  Just ONE employee on ONE expensive drug can cost your employer’s health plan over $100,000 a year.  The cost is shared through raising healthcare premiums for every employee to cover this expense.

  • Why is this service needed if I already have prescription drug coverage?

Many high cost Brand name prescription drugs are required to be reviewed before a health plan will approve payment.  The MyRxHelp healthcare staff acts as your personal advocate so that you get the medication you need quickly, regardless of coverage review delays or payment status.  Nurse Advocates work on behalf of the employee to be sure that if there is a coverage denial, exclusion, or restriction, you will still be able to access the medication from an alternative source and at no cost.  Because your employer has provided alternative savings and cost-containment solutions, you now have many options to get your high cost medications and everyone saves money.

  • What are my alternative medication sources?

MyRxHelp utilizes the many existing prescription drug access programs, it’s many pharmacy partnerships, including but not limited to pharmaceutical manufacturer patient assistance programs, private medication access foundations, closed-door pharmacies (non-retail), mail order programs, and single-source Tier 1 Brand manufacturer partner accredited pharmacies.
